New Construction Update– The Ritz Carlton Residences December 4th, 2007

There are still a handful of private ownership opportunities left at the Ritz Carlton Residences. Located in the historic Chronicle building at the corner of Market and Kearny, these spacious homes in the Union Square shopping district evoke old style San Francisco with luxury amenities and services.

The Ritz Carlton offers two different kinds of homeownership. The lower floors are ‘club residences’ which are sold as fractional interests. I covered this kind of home ownership in a “Buzz” of some time ago when the Ritz Carlton residences were first selling.

The full-time residences begin on the 14th floor, with five residences sharing each floor. Sizes run from a 1,050 square foot 1BR/1.5BA listed for $1,424,000, to a 2,580 square foot 3BR/3BA listed for $3,449,000. There are also a number of 2BR residences listed in the $2M range. .

On the top floor are four penthouse town homes, which were sold as raw space for the new owners to finish off themselves. Their prices ran from $2.9M to $5.7M and went up to 3600 square feet.

Each Ritz Carlton residence is an urban aerie surrounded by turn-of-the-century skyscrapers. While each home is brand new, small period details like crown moldings and baseboard trim reflect the neighborhood’s turn-of-the-century ambience.

Unusual amenities at the Ritz Carlton include wine storage, executive board room, valet parking and personal concierge. There’s also a dramatic Residents’ Lounge on the 11th floor with old world elements like tall deep windows, wood paneling and more lavish crown moldings.

For a complete list of available residences, please call and I will fill you in on the details.
